CMS is able to set the cars' handling qualities prior to test sessions and practice sessions in the simulator. This allows a large amount of the cars' set up to be done prior to first practice and hence allows the most to be gained from the practice sessions. With the increasing restrictions on testing, using the simulator in this way will provide substantial benefit.
